From New Jersey to the Bahamas: Delivering Stone for a Complex Residential Project

Supplying stone for a 17,000-square-foot residential compound designed to last

Some projects stand out not just for their design, but for the level of coordination behind them.

This private residence in the Bahamas, designed by Arthur Chabon with interiors by Clive Lonstein, is one of those projects.

The home spans a 15,000-square-foot main house and a 2,000-square-foot guest house. Every space was carefully considered. Every material had a purpose.

This was not a typical supply job.

Stone That Defines the Interiors

Our role focused on supplying key materials throughout the home.

In both his and her bathrooms, we provided the full stone package. This included slab walls, showers, door trim, and vanity tops. Each space was designed to feel complete and continuous, with the stone carrying through every surface.

Across the first floor, we supplied terracotta tile, which helped establish the tone of the interiors. The material adds warmth and contrast to the lighter architectural palette.

In the art studio, we fabricated Italian glass countertops. These pieces brought a clean, modern layer into a home otherwise rooted in natural materials.

Every element had to align with the overall design vision.

Logistics That Required Planning and Precision

Getting materials to the Bahamas was one of the most critical parts of the project.

All stone and tile were carefully packed into custom-built crates at our facility. Each crate was designed to protect the material during transport. From there, everything was trucked to Florida, loaded into containers, and shipped to the Bahamas.

Nothing could arrive damaged. There was no room for error.

We completed all shipments within a one-year timeframe, coordinating closely with the construction schedule.

Working as Part of the Design Team

This project was a true collaboration.

We worked closely with Arthur Chabon and the contractor throughout the process. Drawings were developed and shared to ensure the installation team on-site had clear direction.

All installation was handled locally, but every detail was planned in advance. The goal was simple—make sure the final result matched the original design intent.

That level of coordination is what allows projects like this to come together successfully.

A Project That Reflects What We Do Best

Projects like this don’t happen by accident.

They require planning, communication, and a deep understanding of materials. They require a team that can think beyond fabrication and see the full picture.

This is the type of work we are built for.

Complex projects. High expectations. Anywhere in the country—or beyond.
